I can only imagine what it will do to someone with kids, particularly twins, whether you’re prone to superstition or not. The eventual climax is a heartbreaking ordeal which no mother wishes to experience and just when we think it’s over, Melanie Golding hits us with another twist and the story goes in a different direction. Claudia because she looked after Sunset and Sunset’s sibilings when Suzy was in shock and when Suzy was meant to be looking after her own kids. Like all of JW's books, it was incredibly easy to read and I found myself binging 100+ pages at a time.

She is strong, likeable character who is the perfect reliable narrator contrast to Lauren’s unreliable one.There is no evidence of what Lauren saw, and no else saw of heard anything other Lauren shouting, something niggles at Harper to stay on this case despite there being not apparent case at all. A psychological thriller and a half, the opening chapter of which made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end and chilled me to my core!You empathize with Lauren, even though you mostly think her ordeal is caused by her depression But…there’s still something about her case that doesn’t sit quite right. In 2002 Jacqueline was awarded the OBE for services to literacy in schools and from 2005 to 2007 she was the Children’s Laureate. Her first novel, Little Darlings, which has been optioned for screen by Free Range Films, became an e-book bestseller and won the DragonCon award for Best Horror Novel 2019. However, from here on in Lauren is convinced that she is being followed by a woman dressed in black rags and this women wants to swap twins with her.

She has optimistic and goofy character, however, she is also sensitive to all of the sadness spreading around the house.I liked this one, it sort of came out when my Jacqueline Wilson crazed phase was ending, but I bought it anyway. Lauren Tranter gives birth to twin boys, Morgan and Riley, but while recovering from the birth in hospital she is convinced that a woman has sneaked onto the maternity ward and is trying to swap her babies with Lauren’s. There are some unsettling interactions between new mother Lauren and a creepy woman who threatens to swap Lauren’s twin babies with her own. However, since plot development is crucial to the story, I'll be keeping this review on the shorter and less detailed side of things so as not to give too much of anything away.
