Description

We’re talking specifically about SIM Only plans here, but you can also get unlimited data with a phone on EE. Why should I choose EE unlimited data? The inclusion of shareable data on this plan can actually make it very worthwhile to get another SIM card from EE (even if it’s one with a fairly small data allowance). For instance, you can share 100GB from your unlimited data plan onto a 250MB plan. This would increase the data allowance on it to 100.25GB per month. It’s also possible to get unlimited data on a range of Pay Monthly phones including those from Apple and Samsung. Limited inclusive minutes to UK Landlines, UK Mobiles and 0845 and 0870 numbers excluding Channel Islands.

If you’re a BT Broadband customer with a BT Halo plan, you’ll normally be better off getting unlimited data from BT Mobile instead. At the time of writing the network sells three different unlimited data 30-day SIM Only plans, and while they all let you use 5G signals, only the one listed at ‘150Mbps’ will offer 5G speeds – the other two options are slower, and even the top option is presumably capped, since 5G is capable of higher speeds than 150Mbps. Asda Mobile also allows tethering and free roaming (sometimes at 5G speeds) in much of Europe (up to a 5GB limit), but there aren’t any handset plans – you can only go SIM Only or pay as you go,or spread the cost of a phone that you buy outright. Full Works iPhone SIM: Only available to iOS customers. Includes access to uncapped speeds, Apple One, Roam Abroad Pass Data Gifting and upgrade anytime. Those who have multiple plans on their account can also gift up to 100GB of dataper monthto another EE plan (or 120GB if you have a 5G Smart handset plan), which is good for those with children who run out of data. EE’s unlimited data plans are subject to a fair usage policy which states that you should use under 600GB per month. You also shouldn’t regularly tether 12 or more devices simultaneously, and there’s a 50GB monthly limit when roaming.Like Three's unlimited plans, iD Mobile'sunlimited plans are5G ready, so you willbe able to enjoy 5G speeds. At the current time iD Mobile doesnotspecify a fair usage policy with regards to data usage in the UK.

Apple Arcade: Data used will be deducted from your plan allowance. Only available to iOS users. Apple Arcade is for your personal, non-commercial use only. To redeem requires an iPhone using the latest iOS. To access content requires a device using the latest OS version or another compatible device. Apple ID required. You must not attempt to share, edit or adapt the content made available to you. Content is variable and may be withdrawn at any time. UK use only. Apple Arcade terms apply. For more details go to ee.co.uk/apple-arcade. Vodafone also offersunlimited data SIM Only and phone plans including the option for unlimited 5G data.

Virgin Mobile, which uses O2’s network, also offers unlimited data, and while this used to only be available to customers of other Virgin products, it’s now available to everyone at the time of writing. Vodafone has unlimited data but to get a good price, you'll have to have imposed speed restrictions or commit to a two-year contract. EE too has unlimited data but charges some big prices to get it. For more information, see our guide to EE’s 5G network. You can also read our full overview of 5G coverage in the UK. Tethering & Personal Hotspot

Lyca Mobile, which uses O2's network, has launched unlimited data plans, and these also give you unlimited minutes and texts. Beyond these roaming restrictions there is currently no fair usage policy for unlimited data on Three. When your new phone or SIM card arrives from EE, head over to this online form. Here, you’ll be able to submit the PAC Code from your old mobile network. After doing this, your phone number transfer will normally be scheduled for the next working day. Outside of tethering and roaming, which we’ll touch on below, no UK networks have significant fair usage restrictions.EE are the UK's best network, so you'll also able to take advantage of all their great benefits and features.
